The February edition of the UK’s only regular beer and brewing show on FM radio aired on Sunday 25 February at 3pm. It was a packed show, highlighting some of the very best aspects of the contemporary beer and brewing scene.

On this month’s show:

  • Emma brews a very special collaboration beer with Franklin’s Brewery to celebrate the centenary of (some) women in the UK gaining the right to vote. She brewed alongside Steve to produce a celebratory chocolate pale ale, finished with a massive amount of cacao nibs and a flourish of champagne yeast. The beer is called Champagne Supernova and will be available on draught very soon;

IPA Face

  • Byron Davies, Chair of Drinkers’ Voice, tells us what this new organisation is aiming to add to the discussion around alcohol and health;
  • Beer educator, Nigel Sadler, talks about the importance of education and training, and just what it takes to become a beer sommelier;

We taste three beers on air:

You can tune into the show at 3pm every fourth Sunday of the month via Radio Reverb on 97.2fm or DAB+ (in Brighton & Hove) or via radioreverb.com (worldwide). Alternatively, you can catch up later via iTunes, Podomatic or Spotify.
